In the 21st Century the Woman's Club of Douglaston has certainly carried on the traditions set by the founding members of the Club. We have a very capable and devoted Executive Board with 16 Committees chaired by women who are ready to volunteer their time. Committee chairwomen organize activities and day trips to museums, concerts and historic sites to enlighten the intellectual life of our members.

Our Charity committee collects donations for local organizations like Shoes for all, and Jeans Go Green and Ozanam Hall Nursing Home.  We also make monetary donations to selected non-profit women's organizations like Hour Children in Long Island City, Bridge to Life, and the Center for the Women of New York.  Other committees include our Book Club, Museum, Music, Antiques, Annual Luncheon Fundraiser, Flower Arranger, Potpourri, Historian, Educational, Sunshine, Website, Programs, Sunshine, and Membership.

While the club enriches the Douglaston community in general, members do enjoy their own social functions and the companionship of their fellow members. The year is marked by many opportunities to socialize with one another and guests including dedicated fundraisers, film nights, casual dinners, Holiday teas, entertainers and lecturers covering a wide-range of topics.
