WCD Charities

Bridge to Life: The Bridge to Life, Inc. is an organization dedicated to helping needy pregnant women and their

children. Their mission is to ensure a safe and healthy birth of a child and the well-being of the mother.

Mary By the Sea: Is a respite home for women who are receiving treatment for cancer.  They provide services that

complement their medical treatment, including oncology massage, nutrition education, individual counseling, Reiki,

guided meditation, expressive writing, and yoga.  They offer integrative services to women with cancer and provide

rest and support.

Hour Children of Long Island City: (Which is named to acknowledge the important hours that shape the life of a child

with an incarcerated mother).  This organization has helped these women and their children successfully rejoin the

community, reunite with their families and build healthy, independent and secure lives ending the cycle of

 intergenerational incarceration.

Animal Haven: A nonprofit organization founded in 1967 and located in Manhattan that finds homes for abandoned

cats and

dogs throughout the  Tri-State area, and provides behavior intervention when needed to improve chances of adoption.

Shoes for All: We collect shoes to distribute to those in desperate need of footwear.

Blue Jeans Go Green: We collect used denim wear to be recycled in the form of insulation for needy communities

(who would have thought those old jeans could enjoy a second life helping others in need!)

Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens: We collect toiletries for the members for the Christmas Holiday Season.
