Woman's Club of Douglaston

Over a Century of Commitment to Our Community

We are a women's organization located
in Douglaston, N.Y.

We are a fellowship of women dedicated to community service for the purpose of enhancing the lives of others as well as our own through volunteerism as we cooperate with other organizations in advancing the welfare of the community.
The mission of our club since its inception in 1916 is specifically devoted to the promotion of civic and educational programs in the community. Throughout the year, our various committees and club members are busy planning and performing community service and conduct wide-ranging events to support local charities. We emphasize giving back to the community, both financial and in-kind, and are always open to suggestion for future deserving applicants. Virtually all of Douglaston and surrounding areas have benefited at one time or another from our fund-raising like our annual luncheon, mini bake sales, among others, to benefit and support incarcerated women and their children,  and many other endeavors.  As our members become aware of and get involved in these efforts, it produces a "snowball effect"  with more and more  members reaching  out to local organizations and expanding our outreach.
